HOW TO REMOVE STAINS FROM PORCELAIN STONEWARE TERRACE TILING?
Dear Sir/Madam
could I send a picture of my dark grey stoneware flooring on my terrace, which for the most part is stained with white deposits that look similar to limestone? I've lived here for 8 years and it is getting worse and worse. I also tried to use a calcium-remover but without any effect. I'm desperate.
Thank you for your help
Cristina Unfortunately this problem cannot be solved just by cleaning the tiles, because a waterproofing agent was not applied to them before the laying of the adhesive and tiles to prevent the absorbing of moisture and the rising of the calcium carbonate.
The only suggestion I can give to avoid, if possible, the removal of the tiling is a Mapelastic Mapei waterproof coatingand new tiling directly on top of this product, to keep it as thin as possible.
Other than that, the only other solutions I could offer would be palliative treatments, which will not solve the problem. « See all the questions
